Welcome to the New Zealand Housing Foundation |
|

The New Zealand Housing Foundation (HF) helps people on low incomes into affordable housing and to eventually own their home.
Many people can only dream about home ownership, at HF we provide options for getting you into a new home, and help you manage your finances so you can, overtime, afford to buy it.
We have two programmes that we offer, depending on your situation:
|
Small deposit - Shared-Ownership programme
The Shared-Ownership programme enables you to own between 60 and 85% of your home, with HF owning the other portion. We have completed a number of our own residential developments across Auckland where shared ownership has proven a very popular programme for first home buyers, on low incomes.

No Deposit - Home Equity Programme
The Home Equity programme helps you to move into a new house with the security of a five year occupation agreement and provides an option to buy the house after the five years. It means you can get established in a place you call home, with security of tenure - without a deposit.

Who is New Zealand Housing Foundation?
HF is a not-for-profit, charitable trust set up to support and grow the community housing sector and provide affordable housing for low income households. HF has the backing of some leading philanthropic organisations within New Zealand, and is supported by central government in many of its developments and programmes.
We are gathering expressions of interest from households interested in acquiring a new house in our shared ownership programme. Register your interest by clicking here and we will contact you to answer any questions.
Registering will secure your place in the queue when a house becomes available – but does not commit you to purchase. |
